Farm holidays are ideal for families with children - kids usually love to watch and interact with the animals - help Martin feed the chickens and rabbits, collect eggs, and even herd the sheep; help pick fruit and berries; bake breads and make jams with Maureen; collect and dry herbs. With the slightly older children Martin works with hay and they may collect firewood and prepare it for the fire basin on the terrace; in the fall everyone may take part with making apple juice with our own press; collect and dry mushrooms, and even harvest potatoes from the field when we have them.
